Sooooometimes I pretend like it's the 90's when phones weren't a thing yet. Then most times, I can hardly put it down. Often, I want to share my experience with my Tribe in real time. Other times, I just want to spend real time with my Tribe.
It's a balance, yo.
I don't know about you but it takes me a conscious effort in this day and age to tuck my phone away and go play. When I do, it is so rewarding. The laughs seem louder and the hugs seem warmer. The food tastes better and the drinks taste sweeter. When I catch myself looking at an astonishing landscape through my camera, I put it back in my pocket and check it out with my eyes instead. The beauty hardly ever truly translates.
Over the course of my life, I have grown into presence naturally. Through adventure and connection, I have grown to realize and remember that life is here now. I love those times that I know mental pictures will be the only picture I have. Stories will be the only way to share and quality time will be the only way to share them. 💜
I have had a weekend packed with presence, connection, joy, adventure, love, and peace.
Presence makes it possible.
Sourcing my energy by submerging myself in experience has generated self love and appreciation for life and my relationships.
I am grateful for this life in real time.
