12 Days Checked Out
Time off social media does wonders for our mindset, productivity, presence, and focus. We know this and yet still find ourselves checking notifications and refreshing our newsfeeds about 159 times a day....oh wait, just me!?!
I have two things about this post that I am really grateful for. One, this is the time of my life that I started really 'coming out' about my book. It has me reflecting on the excitement that I had about what I was developing in my life ONE short year ago! So much greatness (and gratitude) has grown out of this seedling.
Two, I am grateful for is building my own, new, happier relationship to the month of August. You see, in 2015, August became 'wedding month' for me. It was filled with dresses, center pieces, bridal showers, and so on.
Aug 2016 became a reminder of a failed marriage. I spent a lot of this month in my woes. It wasn't my favorite August, I'll tell you that much.
August 2017 was the beginning of a new era for me. At this point, I had a publisher and a deadline for editing my book. I chose to check out of social media and buckle down on my big dreams. It was magical!
I hit my goals and deadlines in those days off and really, it was only the jumpstart of the evolution to come. This reset bottom turned into the kick off of the most creative phase of my life.
Aug 2018 has become the celebration of The Hearts Unleashed Podcast release! I am growing in a new start. I am expanding my heart and 'arms reach' beyond my physical fingertips.
August always has been and always will be a great month!
EVERY is the best month.
