Girl Meets Guitar

Two months ago, my love, Carlee Dickey, shared this cool, new Yamaha pilot program that she had first dibs on! She shared "who wants to do 6 weeks of free guitar lessons with me?" 
I couldn't respond fast enough! I jumped right in with two feet and it has been an ABSOLUTE blast!
We showed up on the very first night with the patio at the Canyon Fireside Grill lined with 16 guitars, music stands, and even reading lamps to strum on as the sun set off in the distance. A bunch of beginner players showed up timidly introducing themselves to one another and examining guitars like foreign objects. We sat down and let sweet Briana with the bangs below guide us through the lesson.
Over the course of the next 6 weeks, we learned tons of chords, strums, and songs! We also learned that 90% of all guitar players are men! 😯We put a dent in that percentage over the course of time as those women shared their new skills with their children, husbands, families, and friends.
We created a sisterhood on that patio. So much so that they created a Girl Meets Guitar 2! Tonight, I get to enjoy the next level of learning guitar with a bunch of babes!
I will be sharing this journey and opportunity as it develops. Girl Meets Guitar by Yamaha is here to stay! We are developing an amazing program to roll out and make available to you too! We are creating a new wave. We are paving a new way. Generating an inviting learning experience to those who may not otherwise jump out of their comfort zone and into a new chance to grow brings me such joy.
