 Happy 'pay it forward' Birthday to Caitlin Chojnowski!!! This week she posted a birthday wish she had for others to do a random act of kindness to celebrate her turning 30 and then share to spread some extra love! You can BET your bottom dollar that I was all over this opportunity to have fun with spreading joy! Anywho, I was at Chipotle for lunch today and there was a sweet girl in line in front of me from New Zealand. She went to pay and her card declined by an out of country charge protection. She looked frantic and embarrassed as she started shuffling around finding three out of the ten dollars that she owed. Without a second thought, I added her burrito bowl to my order. At first, still shook up, she did not want to accept the offer. Knowing what it is like to have a hard time accepting help or support, I slowly turned to her, smiled, and asked that she accept it as a gift. Immediately, I watched relief come over her. All the while, she insisted that I take her three dollars. After some cordial "no, yes, no, okay, fine." I accepted the three dollars. After lunch, I went to grab a coffee and dropped my new friends three dollars in the tip jar. Haha, at this point, I was so thrilled about the series of events that I dumped all my change in there too! I have to say Cait, I love your call to action to actively pay it forward. Most of what I do looks like listening and speaking with people to have them feel loved or cared for. To do an ACT of service brought on a new kind of joy today. It was fun, easy, and effortless and I could see how giving in such a way could ripple effect quickly. Happiest birthday, sweet woman! Keep causing greatness.
