The heart of Whiting, Indiana skipped a beat today. Testimonials to the life and times of Josh Dado are flooding my newsfeed. Celebrations, memories, and rest in peaces are being shared.
The most powerful reminder to live is present, death. It is often when we are faced with death that we are momentarily jolted back to life. We dwell on the miracle of our brief time here on this planet. We remember the sacredness of the body we are given and the importance of our relationships. We are again reminded that tomorrow is never promised and today should be cherished.
Every moment is a gift.
Our health is a gift.
Our people are a privilege to know.
And it can all go away in an instant.
It doesn't have to be in the face of death that we realize the miracle of life. Josh was a lively person and so were the many that we know that have left their earthly vessel. A way to honor them and the gift of our own vessel is to make the most of our time here.
You choose the quality of your life because even in sickness of the physical, you may find peace and harmony with the spiritual. It is by way of inner peace that the tribulations life throws at us can make any sense. You can turn any circumstance into an opportunity to increase your ability to find joy and gratitude. You can enjoy every day to the best of YOUR ability. Our experiences are very different as we make our way through this life. Throw out the comparisons and chose how you will experience this life with the hand that you have been dealt.
It is how we handle our circumstances that we make our life what it is. We all know cancer. We all know illness. We all know hurt, pain, and fatigue. We know poverty and misfortune. We know tragedy and upset. We also know those who have been consumed by it and others that have moved through and past it.
Some journeys find their end with cancer. Those who walk that journey are paving your way to further appreciating yours.
Honor their walk by honoring your life.
Live to the fullest.
Give glory and gratitude to your god for the fact that your heart still beats and dreams.
Reflect on all that you have and all that is on it's way for it is in living that we find our greatest life.
Live the life you have and create it to be the life you love.
Josh IS resting in peace. Blessings to his friends and family that they have theirs in his departure. ❤
Love you all.
