Sooooo, a little late to the game but I JUST watched Finding Dory for the first time last night and I have been replaying it in my head ALL DAY TODAY!
Have you seen it!?! I recommend it! It never fails that Disney Pixar teaches us (and our children) some super valuable life lessons. I found a message from the Finding Nemo sequel so subtly profound. "There's always a way!!" "When something's too hard, there's always another way!" Just when you thought saving Dory or the adventure seemed to have reached a dead end, Nemo and Marlin would ask themselves, "What would Dory do!?" We learn that forgetting about your fears and barriers seems to shed light on a new, innovative approach that we could not previously see. Past our mental blocks are an INFINITE number ways to take the next step and get closer to our goal. What looks and feels like a dead ended mission is just an invitation to stretch your imagination and use your creative genius! Sometimes, like Dory, it takes forgetting what you believe to be your limitations. Just as a child rebounds from a scraped knee or dropped ice cream cone, you my grown friends, can rebound from a scraped ego or dropped opportunity. What would Dory do? She'd just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, friends. There's always another way. Live the life you love.
